I've been thinking about cell phones, and how important they are in the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness. When I was still out in the business world, (my job entailed my flying around the country, east coast to west coast and points in between) persons superior to me, sitting in their comfortable offices with nothing to do but make wise and important decisions, decided that I should have both a pager and cell phone in case of some emergency that needed my immediate attention.

We were not rich in ways of having a lot of presents at Christmas. Let's face it, we were a family of seven growing up during the '30s, and though we were not on welfare, I do remember my father working on what was referred to then as the WPA.

After my wife passed away in January of 1995, my children decided that I needed a companion. I resisted their continuous attempts for a long time, but they would not give up. My granddaughter was keeping company with a chiropractor at the time, and I found the need for a little "adjustment" as my hip was giving me problems.

This movie is written by a self-avowed and proud atheist, Phillip Pullman of England. It stars Nicole Kidman and is directed toward children. His objective is to bash Christianity and promote atheism.
